The workforce is disproportionately junior, and international medical graduates require more supervision, which is not always provided. This has led to a loss of accreditation for trainee positions due to violence and inadequate supervision. The hospital's administrative burdens, such as the 13,000 requests for leave made by patients last year, further strain the medical workforce.
